VeloxServ - VeloxServ DC2, Wolverhampton - UPS B Battery Alarm – Incident details

The engineer has conducted a number of tests and cleared the alarm, he believes the issue to be resolved

We are continuing to work on a fix for this incident. The engineer has arrived and is working on the UPS it will be switched to bypass during this time.

This alarm has sadly returned. We have our specialist contractor on their way.

The UPS remains online and supporting load but the B feed in Velox2 should be considered as at risk

Following component replacements and extensive testing today, we’re pleased to confirm that the issue has now been resolved. Velox2 has returned to full N+N UPS resilience, with no impact to customer load.

Our specialist contractors are now performing further tests to debug each component in UPS B.

The B side power feed should be considered as at risk at this time. Power feed A / UPS A is unaffected.

The initial parts supplied for the UPS repair did not resolve the issue. Further replacement parts have now arrived, and we are continuing to work closely with our specialist manufacturer, who is providing additional engineering support. We are hoping to resolve the remaining fault today.

Our specialist contractors are continuing to diagnose the alarm condition which has been ongoing overnight.

They do not suspect an issue with the batteries after inspection, and are now awaiting delivery of replacement internal parts that they believe are causing the fault. These are expected to arrive shortly for swap out.

UPS B has been placed into bypass whilst our specialist contractors investigate the alarm condition.

The B side power feed should be considered as at risk at this time, UPS A / power feed A is unaffected.
