VeloxServ - Notice history

During this maintenance window we will be resetting some PPP sessions for broadband users connecting via Vodafone backhaul.

This is required to re-balance broadband sessions after previous network maintenance. A brief disconnect and re-connect will be observed for some xDSL/FTTP users during the following window:

During this window we will be introducing 3x new LNS routers in London to support terminating broadband subscribers.

As a result we need to re-balance sessions onto the new LNS routers by disconnecting currently online tails.

A brief disconnect and reconnect will be observed during this window for subscribers currently terminated on the following LNS routers:

195.191.219.6 (lns1-thn)
195.191.219.8 (lns1-ld8)
195.191.219.12 (lns1-ixn)

This work will only affect subscribers on the following backhaul networks:

BTWholesale
Cityfibre

Start time: Friday 4th July 2025, 01:00AM BST
End time: Friday 4th July 2025, 02:00AM BST

During this window we will be performing upgrades to our core router in Digital Realty/Interxion LON1.

This maintenance requires a full power down of the device to install new control boards and routing-engines into the device running new JUNOS.

Customers with services fed directly from core1-ixn will experience an outage of approximately 30 minutes during this window.

Other external connectivity such as peering and transit will be re-routed to alternative paths cleanly before the outage.

During this window contractors will be performing planned maintenance and performing a load bank test on the backup Generator systems in VeloxServ DC1 and DC2 in Wolverhampton.
